OuroWorks was built on a love for the harmonious relationship between Fashion and Nature. The former cannot exist without the latter, and more often than not they are completely intertwined. We have always thought the consulting landscape was too stark, too plain, for the fashion industry.

Our goal is to disrupt the market with an approach that humanizes the process, because at the core of our work, are human beings. In the global west we get caught up with ‘design’ everyone wants to design, and create, and be the next big name in fashion. But people lose sight of all of the other people that are needed to be a part of that process. We strive to bridge that gap.

Savas Glacken

Founder

Savas is a recent graduate from Toronto Metropolitan University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He graduated with a Bachelors in Fashion Design, focussing on Sustainable Business practices within the fashion industry, finding a passion in tackling issues of waste, greenwashing, accountability, and consumer education throughout his fours years. In his third year, he had the opportunity to go on exchange to the Copenhagen School of Design and Technology (KEA). Here he was able to gain new perspectives on what was possible regarding slow fashion and localized production, as well as the ability to understand european attitudes towards the North American fashion industry.

Growing up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, Savas was someone who would never say no to new adventures and opportunities. At only 16 he spent a summer on a 6 week long canoe trip through the Northern Saskatchewan and Manitoba wilderness. Experiences like these cemented his love for the delicate outdoors, and gave him an appreciation for what a healthy and prosperous relationship with nature can look like. Through OuroWorks he hopes to pass this passion along to other young creative professionals.
